About us

Steelcraft Atelier started in 2020 as a workshop hobby — a steel desk built for the sake of building. What it became is the result of thirty years of combined experience in metal machining, a decade inside luxury commercial furniture production, and a quiet, stubborn commitment to doing things properly. Every iteration taught us something. Plywood became solid oak. Standard hinges became Blum and Hettich — soft-close, precise, built to outlast the furniture around them. And somewhere along the way we arrived at a principle we haven't compromised since: no welding. Every piece we build is bolted together, joint by joint, with the kind of care that only makes sense if you intend the furniture to last. Friends became our first clients. Their feedback became our benchmark. Now our first collection — four pieces of industrial furniture built to that standard — is on display at Materija gallery in Kaunas. We are two people, one workshop, and one uncompromising idea of what furniture should be.
